Submit Music to 88Rising Today!

How can I submit my song to 88rising?

88rising is always looking to sign new Asian-American talent. You can submit your demo and EPK to sean@88rising.com.

You should make sure that the tracks you make sound good.

Getting a Record Deal can change the game for your music career!

If it sounds like trash, 88rising might never sign you because they want to sell tracks that sound professional.

So, if you really are making music that sounds like it was made by professionals, why not send it to a label?
In the worst case, they don't answer, but at least you tried.

In the best case, they will like you and send you a contract!

88rising wants to sign artists with a track record of entrepreneurial spirit.

You should be able to get on 88rising if you can get on a big YouTube channel that promotes music.

Promoting your music on Spotify with Playlist Promotion and getting more monthly listeners is a great way to build leverage.

If you make EDM then Submit to Spinning Records as well!

This will help you stand out, and 88rising will get back to you.

Tips for submitting music to 88rising

Sending your demo to a record label can be one of the scariest things you do in your career.

5 tips for submitting your music to 88rising:
  • Be intentional
  • Personalize your pitch
  • Don't be afraid to brag
  • Have a distinct sound
  • Build rapport over time

When you send 88rising a private streaming link or music file, make sure your tracks are labeled correctly when you reach out to them.

Tell if the music is a demo, has been mixed, or has already been "mastered."

You can leverage a music sync agent to increase the odds of getting places!

To keep your message from going into the spam folder, make it personal and explain why you want to work with 88rising.

Being able to talk about who you are and what your music means to you gives you control over your story and art from the beginning, instead of letting someone else, even a label you love, shape it.

Even if you haven't written a full bio yet, you should be able to explain who you are and what your music is about.

What is 88Rising?

88rising keeps adding new artists to their roster. They are one of the most forward-thinking groups in the world.

88rising is a media company that was started in 2015 by Sean Miyashiro!

88rising is all about bringing Asian and Asian-American artists to the world and giving them a chance to shine on a global stage.

"The Disney of Asian hip-hop," Miyashiro says of 88rising.

In China, the number 8 is also thought to be lucky because it stands for fortune and wealth.

88rising is a mix of a record label, a talent management company, a marketing company, and a company that makes media.

Get Your Own Music Studio Booth (For Under $500)

This image above (with the portable music studio) ☝️ is the BEST resource for musicians!

It's astonishing that such a sizable booth can be folded up and moved with such ease, then re-erected anywhere you choose using a home recording booth.

Buying this $450 booth saves you thousands in studio time fees.

Here are the benefits of this portable music studio:
  • This little studio booth is ideal for use in tight quarters (dorms, rooms.)
  • The soundproof booth is useful for reducing echo and other background disturbances
  • The end result is perfectly dry and clear vocals
  • You save thousands in studio time and specific equipment

The goal of every recording session is to capture a dry, noise-free signal, and a portable voice booth is the perfect tool for doing just that!

Instead of having a voice booth permanently set up in a studio, you can simply fold it up and put it away when you're done using it.

Ever since my producer bought one of these... Life became 100x better.

Can I submit music to 88rising if I am not Asian?

While you can still submit, your chances of getting signed to 88rising are low if you are not Asian.
