How does the image resizer work?
Image compression is the process of making a graphics file as small as possible in terms of bytes without making the quality of the image slightly lower.
Almost every image on the web you upload gets compressed.
The Facebook tool does automatic resizing and compression when you upload or download images.
That said, the pixels don't change much, rather the style and amount of data in the photo can change.
The JPEG format and the GIF format are the two most common ways to compress graphics.
You may want to adjust the pixels of the image if you need a different aspect ratio.
(Example: you need Square images for your cover art.)
You may want a resize image app in these cases.
Different types of image compression
Lossless compression is a way to make a file smaller while keeping the same quality as it had before it was compressed.
RAW files are great for professional photo editors because they don't compress, but they take up more space.
Finally, there is a lossy compression download.
When you resize an image you upload, the final photos you save can lose quality in the download.
The benefit of a photo that's lossy is that after the resize you have a smaller file to work with.
The information in the photos you edit gets thinned out.
Not all image formats you resize to will be lossy though.
JPEG, on the other hand, won't take up as much space on your hard drive, but some of the information will be lost in the process.
Tips for making cover art
When making your cover artwork you must use a high-resolution photo in the actual image.
This ensures that after you resize the image using the free image resized the images will still look good.
Sign up for multiple websites, and search for which features you like most!
The services are coping/paste but the way you adjust the resizing changes.
Just know that each free image resizer specializes in a different type of image.
Some work with JPG, and some work with PNG images for example.
Once you download the resized image into your computer make sure that you watch the quality and make sure that he did not agree to much.
Generally, when you scale the image up the quality doesn’t change much...
However, when you scale pixels down the software might over-adjust the resized image to the point where the actual file you download looks horrendous.

As you create and upload your cover art, don't forget about YouTube.
You create a different brand image because your thumbnail image is different in size.
The YouTube thumbnail dimension is 1280 x 720 pixels. This means 1280 pixels in width and 720 pixels tall.
Once your music distributor uploads the video, you can go ahead and upload your photos as a thumbnail afterward.
This lets you use full-screen real estate!
For YouTube covers, the effort is worth it in the end.
A square image doesn't look so good for the brand, since it has random space in the corners.
You can export photos from the actual video as screenshots.
Then, upload that to your music video on the YouTube platform.

You may need to resize images for SoundCloud before uploading your cover art.
If you post an auto aspect ratio then SoundCloud makes crops the image file to only display the cover art partially.

Another alternative with image sizes is to export more than one image file.
