Let It Go Meaning

The song let it go from Frozen is about Elsa coming to terms with the fact that she left home. She did not want to hurt her loved ones with her power, thus she fled.

Though she succeeded in freezing the summer, Elsa felt emotionally isolated because everyone else opposed her because they believed she was a monster.

She left because she was concerned about her reputation and didn't want to cause any harm to the people who meant the most to her.

Elsa is upset with herself for failing to exercise better control over her power and for isolating her sister for so long (isolating herself in the process).

Since Elsa accidentally hurt Anna when they were young, she worried that her power would cause harm to others.

Elsa, being the good girl that she was, kept this secret so as not to cause any harm.

However, she "Can't hold it back anymore" after accidentally revealing her sorcery on the day of her coronation.
